Restaurant design goes far beyond aesthetics – it's about creating an environment that enhances the culinary experience and supports the restaurant's operational needs. Our design for Meridian Bistro demonstrates how thoughtful space planning and material selection can create a memorable dining destination.
The 3,500 sq ft space needed to accommodate 120 diners while maintaining an intimate atmosphere. We created distinct zones using varying ceiling heights, lighting levels, and acoustic treatments. The open kitchen concept allows diners to witness the culinary artistry while maintaining appropriate separation.
Material selection focused on durability and maintenance while creating warmth and sophistication. We used engineered hardwood flooring, leather banquettes, and natural stone accents. The color palette of warm earth tones creates a welcoming atmosphere that complements the restaurant's farm-to-table concept.
Acoustic design was critical to the project's success. We incorporated sound-absorbing materials, strategic furniture placement, and background music systems to create comfortable conversation levels throughout the space. Custom lighting design allows for different moods from lunch to dinner service.
