The hotel lobby serves as the stage for first impressions, and our design for the Grand Metropolitan Hotel creates a dramatic entrance that immediately communicates luxury and sophistication. This 2,000 sq ft space needed to handle high traffic while maintaining an intimate, welcoming atmosphere.
Our design concept drew inspiration from the city's industrial heritage, incorporating raw materials like exposed brick, steel, and concrete alongside luxurious finishes such as marble and brass. The double-height ceiling features a stunning custom chandelier made from locally sourced materials.
The seating areas are strategically positioned to create both social spaces and quiet retreats. We used a mix of contemporary and vintage furniture pieces, including custom-designed sofas and carefully curated art pieces from local artists. The color palette of deep blues, warm grays, and gold accents creates a sophisticated yet approachable atmosphere.
Functionality was paramount in the design process. We created clear circulation paths, integrated technology solutions for modern travelers, and designed flexible spaces that can accommodate everything from business meetings to social gatherings.
